Since my hosting company just helpfully reminded me that I needed to pay them money to renew my domain name, I figured that I should at least make an attempt at semi-regular updates on here.
My current work has primarily been focused on vaping and social media. So far I’ve had the pleasure of presenting this work at Madison, Hopkins, the Social Media and Society conference last year, and at the City of Milwaukee Tobacco-Free Alliance. My invited Innovations in Global Tobacco Control Lecture at Hopkins is now online for mass consumption (always a flattering freeze frame…). It was great being back at Hopkins and seeing lots of familiar faces from my PhD program.
This work was just accepted to Substance Use and Misuse, so stay tuned for a link to that. The methods used here are also captured in the Instagram chapter I authored for the forthcoming (December 2016 I think) SAGE Handbook on Social Media Research Methods. This volume should be amazing once it’s out and I can’t wait to have a chance to read the other chapters.
