Opportunities for UWM students

Students and researchers from outside UWM are also always welcome to connect to discuss shared interests.

  • Undergraduate Students

    Undergraduate students from all majors who want to work on technology and social media related projects with me can apply for support from the UWM SURF program. Well qualified undergraduates who make significant contributions have also co-authored scientific papers with me.

    Public Health BS students may also be eligible to work with me for credit.

  • MPH Students

    MPH students across any of our Zilber tracks who are interested in questions related to technology, commercial determinants of health, social media communication, and/or tobacco control may be eligible to work with me via their Field Experience or Capstone projects.

    Occasionally, paid hourly opportunities may also be available. Volunteer opportunities are also possible.

  • Doctoral Students

    I am currently accepting well qualified doctoral students with interests in social media and health, AI and mental health, or tobacco control. A variety of funding opportunities are available through UWM. Please reach out to me before applying to discuss opportunities and your interests.

    At this time, students should apply to the UWM PhD program in Community and Behavioral Health Promotion or Environmental Health.
